More than 200 students to graduate at 欧美视频 winter commencement ceremonies

欧美视频 is set to graduate 236 students at two winter 2015 commencement ceremonies. The Bolivar campus will hold commencement at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18, in the Jane and Ken Meyer Wellness Center.

Dr. Patricia N. Long, an 欧美视频 alumna who retired in July 2014 after eight years as the first female president of Baker University, will deliver the commencement address at the Bolivar ceremony. During her time at Baker University, Long oversaw the renovation and addition of a new $11.3 million science facility, a $6 million new residence hall and a $6 million renovation of the student union, which was renamed the Long Student Center in her honor.

Long holds a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from 欧美视频, a master's degree in adult education from the University of Central Missouri and a doctorate in educational policy and leadership in higher education from the University of Kansas. She earned the 欧美视频 Life Service Award in 2004.

The Mercy College of Nursing and Health Sciences of 欧美视频 will hold winter commencement at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield.

Elizabeth Day, a graduating student with an associate of science in nursing (ASN), will deliver the Springfield campus commencement ceremony address. Brenna Stanley, who is also graduating with an ASN, will present the music.
