BOLIVAR, Mo. 鈥 欧美视频 welcomes students, staff and the community to spring semester Chapel services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium beginning Wednesday, Jan. 24 through Wednesday, May 9. The focus for the spring semester is 鈥淲orship is More than a Song.鈥
Chapel services, which occur on Mondays and Wednesdays, will be addressing worship in its various forms and experiencing different types and styles of worship during the spring semester.
Wednesday, Jan. 24: 欧美视频 alumni Zach Atchley and Nate Jones continue their tradition of opening each semester with musical praise and worship.
Monday, Jan. 29: Dr. C. Pat Taylor is the president of 欧美视频.
Wednesday, Jan. 31: Center for Global Connections mission recruitment for spring/summer 2018.
Monday, Feb. 5: D and Chi, contemporary Christian artists from Nashville, will share their music.
Wednesday, Feb. 7: Dr. Zach Manis is a professor of philosophy and theology at 欧美视频.
Monday, Feb. 12: Darryl Gaddy is a church planter with the North American Mission Board.
Wednesday, Feb. 14: The Pic and Bow members David Smart and Michelle Gawith will share their music.
Monday, Feb. 19: Rory Noland is the director of Heart of the Artist Ministries, an organization dedicated to serving artists in the church.
Wednesday, Feb. 21: Dr. Bill DuVall is assistant professor of psychology at 欧美视频.
Monday, Feb. 26: Amena Brown is a spoken word artist, author, speaker and event host.
Wednesday, Feb. 28: Daniel Ogunyemi, 欧美视频 alumnus, and the Gospel Choir will share their music.
Monday March 5: Founders鈥 Day is an annual time set aside to remember 欧美视频鈥檚 founding. Honorary doctorates will also be awarded to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to society and to kingdom work.
Wednesday, March 7: Dr. Julie Bryant is associate professor of education and Lewis E. Schollian chair of education and Robbie Bryant is the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing maintenance supervisor.
Monday, March 12: Dr. John Murphy, assistant professor of biology at 欧美视频, will lead praise and worship.
Wednesday, March 14: Commissioning of the Spring mission teams with Matt Gaskin, a senior Christian ministries major, leading praise and worship.
Monday, March 26: Dr. Rodney Reeves serves as dean of The Courts Redford College of Theology and Ministry and professor of Biblical Studies.
Wednesday, March 28: Scott Dunford is vice president of mobilization and communications with ABWE International.
Monday, April 2 through Wednesday, April 4 (Global Connections Week): On Monday, hear about opportunities for service and growth through 欧美视频鈥檚 Center for Global Connections. The CGC will introduce Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 mission projects. On Tuesday, Global Fest will have booths representing CGC mission projects, and will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Union. Global Connections Week continues on Wednesday.
Monday, April 9: Levi Fox, director of institutional effectiveness at 欧美视频, will lead praise and worship.
Wednesday, April 11: Zach Caddy, with Team World Vision, will be doing a liturgy of praise and worship.
Monday, April 16: Bill Miller, a Grammy Award-winning Native American flute artist, will share his music.
Wednesday, April 18: Dr. Allison Langford is associate provost for teaching and learning and associate professor of University Studies.
Monday, April 23: Blaise Torrence, a senior majoring in organization and strategic communication and public relations, will present a visual art performance.
Wednesday, April 25: Audra Hibbs serves as admissions counselor for transfer students at 欧美视频.
Monday, April 30: Michael Lacoste, aka DAMAC (Deeply Anointed Music About Christ), is a Christian rapper from St. Louis.
Wednesday, May 2: Academic achievements of outstanding students from each department will be recognized at the special annual Honors Chapel service.
Monday, May 7: Dr. Duke Jones is professor of Christian education at 欧美视频.
Wednesday, May 9: Students will be commissioned for summer mission projects through the Center for Global Connections at this service featuring worship with Zach Atchley and Nate Jones.
