鈥淭his tournament was a chance for us to go 鈥榦ff-circuit,鈥欌 said Dr. David Bailey, director of forensics. 鈥淥ne of the ways that we try to have a national-caliber team is that we must occasionally go far out of our region to see some of the same competition and judges that we will encounter later on in the season when we compete for the national championship.

鈥淥ur team did quite well for being relatively young and for being 鈥榮trangers鈥 to much of the competition.鈥
