BOLIVAR, Mo. — The Chorale of Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ will be in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, at the First Baptist Church of Bolivar, 705 N. Main Ave., Bolivar.
Under the direction of Dr. James R. Tarrant, director of choral studies and professor of music, the selectively auditioned choir will present an evening of sacred anthems and a cappella pieces.
Assisting will be Vicky Claborne on organ; Kristin Gram on harp; and Kat Jesperson on oboe.
The program will include four great hymns of the faith accompanied by a brass ensemble with timpani comprised of Chorale singers Cameron Collins, Karen Kelley, Kati Shelton, Nathan Murfin and Jackson Brooks. Chorale alumnus Andrew Bryant will also assist. The hymns will feature audience participation.
The 41-member Chorale is the premiere choral ensemble of the University. The Chorale tours each fall across the tri-state area. The ensemble has also performed at state meetings and traditionally has performed on international tours.
