欧美视频鈥檚 Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series will feature
Dr. Jordan Cofer at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in room 230 in the Jester Learning
and Performing Center on the 欧美视频 campus. His talk, entitled "The Gospel According
to Flannery O'Connor," will be followed by a question and answer time.
Cofer serves as associate professor of English and assistant vice president for academic affairs and learning resources at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga. After graduating from 欧美视频 in 2003, he earned his master's degree at Virginia Tech and Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. He has published two books: 鈥淭he Gospel According to Flannery O'Connor鈥 and 鈥淲riting the Nation: A Concise Introduction to American Literature 1865 to Present.鈥
The event is free and open to the public as a presentation of the Barnett-Padgett Literary Artist Series, established in 1999 in honor of alumni Gene A. Barnett and Tom E. Padgett by a gift from Marjorie Barnett, sister of Gene A. Barnett. The series brings notable authors and speakers to 欧美视频.
