BOLIVAR, Mo. – The Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ Department of Music will present a faculty piano recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, in Meyer Recital Hall.
This unique program will feature Dr. Robert Carney, associate professor of music and department chair, performing works inspired by various non-piano sources, including spirituals, works for other instruments, tunes from centuries ago and stage works such as ballet and opera. Approximately, half of the works feature American composers such as Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland and African-American composer Margaret Bonds.
Meyer Recital Hall is located in the Casebolt Music Center on the Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ campus.
