欧美视频 announces spring semester chapel schedule

 Alumni Zach Atchley and Nate Jones will lead musical praise and worship Wednesday, May 4.欧美视频 welcomes students, staff and the community to spring semester Chapel and Equip services, which take place weekly at 10 a.m. on campus in Pike Auditorium through May 4. Chapel services, which occur on Mondays, feature corporate worship and encouragement, and Equip services, which occur on Wednesdays, focus on teaching and equipping.

Wednesday, Jan. 20: 欧美视频 President Dr. C. Pat Taylor will address campus. 

Monday, Jan. 25: 欧美视频 alum Micah AuBuchon, worship leader and youth director of River Bluff Fellowship in Ozark, Mo., will lead praise and worship.

Wednesday, Jan. 27: The Center for Global Connections will share about summer 2016 mission teams that are still available to students.

Monday, Feb. 1:  Samson Latchison is assistant director at The Potter's House, a Christian coffeehouse located near Missouri State University that exists to advance Christian influence on campus by introducing and reconciling students to Jesus Christ.

Wednesday, Feb. 3: 欧美视频鈥檚 head women鈥檚 softball coach Jim Flora will give a talk.

Monday, Feb. 8; Tuesday, Feb. 9; and Wednesday, Feb. 10: Coffey Anderson is a Christian country musician who came to fame on the reality competition show Nashville Star. He will also appear Monday and Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Monday, Feb. 15: DaMac, a Christian rapper and hip-hop artist, will speak and give a performance.

Wednesday, Feb. 17: Hear from Dr. Allison Langford, who serves as 欧美视频鈥檚 interim provost.

Monday, Feb. 22: Author, speaker and musician Tiffany Dawn will discuss issues鈥攍ike body image and self-esteem鈥攚hich she covers in her popular book 鈥淭he Insatiable Quest for Beauty.鈥 She will speak again in the evening at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Feb. 24: Tyler Padgitt is one of the lead pastors of the Courageous Church in Springfield, Mo.

Monday, Feb. 29:  Kim Harley is a worship leader from Brooklyn, N.Y. She will also have a concert at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, March 2: Dr. Shelley Kilpatrick is professor and chair of the department of behavioral sciences.

Monday, March 7: Founders鈥 Day is an annual time set aside to remember 欧美视频鈥檚 founding. Honorary doctorates will also be awarded to recognize outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to society and to kingdom work.

Wednesday, March 9: Dr. Brad Johnson, the 欧美视频 vice president for university relations, will speak.

Monday, March 21 and Wednesday, March 23: 欧美视频 student Ashley Scott and Deanna Robertson, department secretary for University Ministries, will discuss grief and mourning in their talk 鈥淕rief Share.鈥

Monday, March 28: Hear from Rick Wienecke, a well-known sculptor from Israel.

Wednesday, March 30: Exodus Ministries works to empower formerly incarcerated mothers and their children to achieve a productive and fulfilling life through Jesus Christ.

Monday, April 4 and Wednesday, April 6: On Monday, hear about opportunities for service and growth through 欧美视频鈥檚 Center for Global Connections, which will highlight various Global Connections projects for January 2016. On Wednesday, Global Connections Week continues with Ryan Palmer, 欧美视频 Trustee and pastor of South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo.

Monday, April 11:  Paul May is an 欧美视频 alum and the founder and director of Clear Vision Film Company, which uses their artistry to communicate biblical truth.

Wednesday, April 13: Learn from Dr. Bing Bayer, professor of theology, Old Testament and Hebrew.

Monday, April 18Matt Stephens, a solo artist formerly with The Great Romance, a rock band from St. Louis spreading the gospel through music, will lead praise and worship.

Wednesday, April 20: Praise and worship will be led by Levi Fox, 欧美视频鈥檚 student retention counselor.  

Monday, April 25: Dr. Don Denton, professor of theology at 欧美视频, will present a talk.

Wednesday, April 27: Jodi Meadows is director of the Gordon and Judy Dutile Honors Program and an instructor in the 欧美视频 Success Center.

Monday, May 2: Academic achievements of outstanding students from each department will be recognized at the special annual Honors Chapel service.

Wednesday, May 4: Summer mission teams will be commissioned and alumni Zach Atchley and Nate Jones will lead musical praise and worship.
