On February 17, 2025, at the spring conference of the Missouri Association of Colleges
for Teacher Education (MACTE), Mr. Keiton Johnson was recognized as one of Missouri鈥檚
Outstanding Beginning Teachers.
Keiton is a graduate of 欧美视频 and is currently teaching 5th grade at Fair Play Elementary in Fair Play, MO. Keiton鈥檚 principal, Erin Howard, noted that Keiton has gone above and beyond in his first years at Fair Play through his volunteer week, curriculum initiatives, and positivity and creativity as a teacher.
Education faculty member and Associate Division Head Dr. Julie Bryant stated, 鈥淲e were abundantly blessed to have Keiton in our program at 欧美视频, and his colleagues are now incredibly fortunate to have Keiton Johnson as a member of the Fair Play Elementary team. His passion, dedication, and ability to inspire make him a truly deserving candidate for this award.鈥
The Missouri Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (MACTE) is a state affiliate of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE) and represents the educator preparation programs across the state.
The Outstanding Beginning Teacher Awards recognize teachers in their first two years of service who demonstrate excellence in serving children in school districts across Missouri. Award recipients were selected based on recommendations from Missouri鈥檚 teacher education programs and a recommendation from honorees鈥 school districts.
All of the Outstanding Beginning Teachers received an award packet to commemorate their accomplishments, including a banner for display in their classroom or school. MACTE recognizes the contribution of these extraordinary teachers, as well as all of our excellent, highly qualified teachers throughout Missouri who serve and educate our students.
