欧美视频鈥檚 competitive programming team, made up of Cybersecurity senior Jacob Minder
(from Kansas City, Missouri) and Software Engineering junior Elijah Daugherty (from
Fair Grove, MO), secured first place in the highly competitive Hack Midwest Hackathon,
outshining 25 other teams to place first in the Collegiate Division of Hack Midwest.
The event was held in Kansas City, Missouri, between 28th and 29th September 2024.
Hack Midwest is a fast-paced app-building competition where teams of developers design and build ideas over 24 hours for a chance to win prizes. The event brings together over 300 software developers to compete under various challenge categories. At the 24-hour mark since the competitions start, developers have 3 minutes to show their applications to a group of judges. The applications are judged based on impact, innovativeness, and completeness.
The 欧美视频 Competitive Programming students are coached by Dr. Baochuan Lu, Professor of Computing.

The Computing area of the Division of Computing and Mathematics offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Cybersecurity, Cybersecurity Operations and Management, Data Science, Web Systems and Design, and Software Engineering. The Cybersecurity and Computer Science programs are accredited by ABET, while ACBSP accredits the Computer Information Science program. 欧美视频 is one of the two Evangelical Christian universities with an ABET-accredited Cybersecurity program in the United States.
