BSN Graduates Earn 100% NCLEX Pass Rate

Nursing studentsFor the third time in four years, graduates from 欧美视频鈥檚 nursing program on the Bolivar campus achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the NCLEX licensure exam. 

The 15 graduates from May 2024 in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program also achieved a 100% job placement rate, continuing to display the excellence that is a hallmark of the 欧美视频 Mercy College of Health Professions. 

鈥淲e are incredibly proud of the hard work and commitment that our students showed to achieve these milestones,鈥 said Dr. Brittney Hendrickson, dean of the Mercy College of Health Professions. 鈥淥ur faculty devote their careers to seeing our students succeed at this level, and it is incredibly rewarding to know that we are sending talented nurses rooted in a Christian worldview out into the field.鈥 

Many graduates had their job secured before graduation. Of the May 2024 graduates, their career placements include: 

  • Mercy Springfield and Mercy St. Louis hospitals (4) 
  • CMH Medical Surgery (1) 
  • Local health department (1) 
  • Cox Health Springfield (3) 
  • Children鈥檚 Mercy Hospital Kansas City (3) 
  • Barnes-Jewish Hospital St. Louis (1) 
  • St. Mary鈥檚 Hospital Jefferson City (1) 
  • Out-of-state health clinic (1) 

These BSN graduates secured roles in a wide array of specialty nursing fields, including Cardiology, Medical-Surgery, Emergency Department, Post-Partum, Neurology, PICU, ICU, and Oncology. 

Other outcomes of recent graduating classes include: 

  • May 2023: 20 students graduated with a 100% first-time NCLEX pass rate. 
  • May 2022: 15 students graduated with a 93% first-time NCLEX and a 100% ultimate pass rate.  
  • May 2021: 20 students graduated with a 100% first-time NCLEX pass rate. Graduates from this cohort have advanced into leadership roles as Charge RNs or Nurse Managers, pursued graduate degrees, and even contributed to global health efforts, with one serving overseas in Uganda at The Gem Foundation. 

鈥淭he quality of the BSN program continues to be shown by the outcomes of our graduates, and we are excited to see more results like this in the future,鈥 said Mrs. Heather Daulton, director of the Bolivar BSN program.
