欧美视频's Division of the Arts presents Tell Me Where to Find Him

The 欧美视频 Division of The Arts presents "Please Tell Me Where to Find Him" featuring the 欧美视频 Chorale in concert on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. under the direction of Dr. Alex T. Favazza, Jr., Division Head of The Arts and Director of Choral Studies.

This program includes works by composers William Billings, Anton Bruckner, Charles Stanford, Eric Whitacre, and Patrick Quigley, among others. The theme of this concert is the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, particularly the experiences of His followers before his death and after his resurrection (as in Choplin's "Wash Their Feet" and Favazza's "Pasce Agnos Meos (Feed My Lambs)"). The program's centerpiece is Anton Bruckner's Christus Factus Est, the most iconic setting of Philippians 2:8-9 (Christ became obedient for us unto death). The evening concert's title comes from the refrain of a work entitled "They Led My Lord Away," a traditional spiritual arranged by Brandon Waddles. This work, along with Stanford's "When Mary thro the Garden Went," recounts the experience of Mary Magdalene and other mourners approaching Jesus's empty tomb. The 欧美视频 Chorale is the premiere auditioned and touring mixed choral ensemble of the Area of Music in the Division of The Arts.

This free public performance will be held at Meyer Recital Hall, Casebolt Music Center, on the 欧美视频 Bolivar campus. This event is also available via live stream
