Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ announces Homecoming King and Queen candidates for 2020

Homecoming 2020 King and Queen candidates

BOLIVAR, Mo. — Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ students have nominated five seniors as candidates for Homecoming King and five candidates for Homecoming Queen. These candidates have been selected by their peers, and the winning King and Queen will be announced during Homecoming Chapel on Friday, Oct. 2.

King candidates

Joel Ridenour is a psychology and Christian studies major from Monett. He is the son of Ruth and Brad ’95 Ridenour. After graduation, he plans to be a worship pastor and become a licensed professional counselor after graduate school.

Caleb Mooney is a general music major from Richland. He is the son of Dawne and David Mooney. After graduation, he plans to pursue another degree in chemical engineering. He hopes to have a career in music, while also having his engineering career. Mooney wants to help others in whatever he does, whether it’s entertainment and smiles or helping solve problems.

Spencer VanSickle is a pastoral ministry major, with a Biblical language minor, from Neosho. He is the son of Kelly and Jeff VanSickle. After graduation, he plans to attend Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, while serving in the ministry.

Cooper Locke is a computer science and mathematics major from Stockton. He is the son of Charla and Jason Locke. After graduation, he plans to pursue a master’s of education degree at Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ.

Jeffrey Metzler is a nursing major, with minors in psychology and gerontology, from Concordia, Kan. He is the son of Rebecca and James Metzler. After graduation, he plans to work nights on a medical/surgical unit as a registered nurse, while pursuing a master’s of science in nursing degree through Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ to become a nurse educator.

Queen candidates

Regan McCormick is an interdisciplinary studies major from Tulsa, Okla. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Stephen McCormick. After graduation, she plans to marry her fiancé, Trevor, and attend physical therapy school at Å·ÃÀÊÓÆµ.

Lauren Wineinger is a cybersecurity major from Topeka, Kan. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Jeff Wineinger. After graduation, she plans to work in cybersecurity research on the East Coast.

Tobi Barta is a social work major, with a geriatric minor, from Basehor, Kan. She is the daughter of Debbie and Kim Barta. After graduation, she plans to be a hospice care social worker and pursue a master’s degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Alexa Bell is a speech communication and theatre education major from Springdale, Ark. She is the daughter of Gina and Brett Bell. After graduation, she plans to work as a teaching artist in northwest Arkansas.

Hailey Campbell is a social science education major from Pawnee, Ill. She is the daughter of Candi and Charles Campbell. After graduation, she plans to become a history teacher.

Homecoming 2020 Princes and PrincessesIn addition, princes and princesses for the freshman, sophomore and junior classes have been chosen by their peers.

Princes

Eli Cook is a freshman general music major from West Plains. He is the son of Jami and Curtis Cook.

Marcus Lajeuness is a sophomore pastoral ministry and psychology major from West Plains. He is the son of Kelly and Stanley Lajeuness.

Tyler Eads is a junior accounting major from Neosho. He is the son of Tammy and Kevin Eads.

Princesses

Carolyn Cates is a freshman elementary education major from Lee’s Summit. She is the daughter of Janel and Dr. Thomas G. Cates.

Natalie Johnson is a sophomore social work major from Springfield. She is the daughter of Stacey and Doug Johnson.

Alexis Stout is a junior business management major from Lee’s Summit. She is the daughter of Amy and Cory Stout.
